Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision in Cork yesterday evening.
The collision between a car and a motorcycle occurred at approximately 9pm on Courtown Drive in Cork city.
The motorcyclist, a male youth in his teens was taken to the Cork University Hospital with what were described as serious injuries.
No other injuries to persons were reported.
Courtown Drive is currently closed with local diversions in place while a technical examination is being conducted at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward.
“Any road users who may have camera footage, including dash-cam, and were travelling in the Courtown Drive area between 8.45pm and 9.15pm on Monday, May 13 are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí,” said a garda spokesperson.
