Muscat: To further expand its presence in the Sultanate of Oman, prominent retailer in the region Lulu Group has unveiled its latest retail destination in the country. 

H.E. Shaikh Faisal Abdullah Al-Rawas, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry officially inaugurated the store, which is also 30^th in Oman at Al Ansab in the august presence of H.E Amit Narang, Indian Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman, Brig./ Jamal Saeed Al-Taie, Director General of Financial Affairs, Royal Oman Police (ROP), other senior officials from the ROP, Yusuff Ali M.A., Chairman of Lulu Group and other dignitaries.

During the inauguration ceremony, HE Shaikh Faisal Abdullah Al-Rawas emphasized Oman’s commitment to being an attractive destination for investors and its favourable business environment. The government’s policies actively encourage and welcome large-scale projects, such as Lulu, to invest and thrive in the region. During the event, His Excellency presented a copy of the latest edition of the Al Ghorfa Magzine to Yousuff Ali M.A 

Spanning over 150,000 square feet, the latest shopping destination offers enriching shopping experience to the citizens and residents of Al Ansab and its surrounding areas. 

Special features of Hypermarket include an emphasis on healthy and diet food choices, an extensive range of ‘Free From’ foods, pet foods, a seafood section that also extends to freshly made sushi and grilled fish, premium meats and an expansive imported product range. 

There will be a global spread of fresh fruit and vegetables along with a wide choice of freshly made items, from fresh-squeezed juices to fresh-baked breads and cakes. Lulu Hypermarket offerings also include latest fashion, beauty products, electronics & IT Products, home appliances, sports, luggage, stationery and much more.

Lulu Al Ansab also hosts fine selection of brands that includes Banks, money exchanges, ATMs, coffee shops and restaurants, fitness center, pharmacy, perfume shops, Funtazmo Children’s Amusement center, optical center and other amenities making it a complete retail and entertainment destination in the neighbourhood.

“At present, we employ over 3,000 Omani nationals in all the hypermarkets across the country in various positions out of which almost half of them are women and another 300 nationals have been given part time job opportunities. Our aim is to encourage more youth in our workforce thereby ensuring greater economic participation”.

As part of our expansion plan in the Sultanate, “we will open another four new hypermarkets in two years, which will add more employment to the local youth. Apart from this, a state-of-art- facility for fruits and vegetables will also be set up in the upcoming Khazaen Economic City by next year” he said.
