Belanger, Roger John age 86, of Maple Grove, passed away on May 3rd surrounded by loved ones after a 16-year battle with Alzheimer's. Roger was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Patricia; parents, Clarence and Harriet; siblings, Joyce and Mark; and son, Michael Belanger. Survived by his brother Robert "Butch" Belanger; children, Gwyn (Todd) Harvey, Thomas, Keith and Kevin Belanger and Michelle (Paul) Kuklock; and grandchildren, Beth Belanger, Matthew Harvey, Logan and Andrew Kuklock; great-grandchildren, Arjuna Garrison-Belanger and Sebastian Harvey. Roger was born in St. Cloud, MN on March 17th, 1938. After graduation, he entered the Marine Corps. During his adult life he had a successful career in the insurance business, enjoyed living at the lake and spending winters in Lake Havasu, AZ. Roger was very dedicated to his Catholic faith and had an extreme passion for playing piano. For years he entertained family and friends in addition to playing at Mass on the weekends. The family would like to thank the North Memorial Hospice team for their compassionate care and support. We would also like to thank the aides at Arbor Lakes Senior Living for their care of "Pops, Papa and Rog" over the last year. A Mass of Christian Burial for both Roger and Patricia will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Rogers, MN on Thursday, May 23th at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. A private family interment will be held at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
