Adam Idah pays tribute to the Celtic support on Instagram after win vs Rangers

Celtic striker Adam Idah has become a popular figure among the support following his loan move from Norwich City in January.

Coming in on deadline day to bolster the ranks in the final third, the Republic of Ireland international has produced some decisive moments that could go a long way to his side getting over the finish line and claiming the Scottish Premiership title.

Late doubles against Hibernian at Easter Road and Motherwell at Fir Park, coupled with his strike at Ibrox last month, have helped to cement his growing reputation as a fan favourite.

Matt O’Riley’s strike and an own goal from John Lundstram sewed the seeds for a joyous afternoon at Parkhead, which, in all likelihood, will be viewed as the crowning moment so far of Rodgers’ second spell.

While Celtic supporters rejoice over defeating their rivals, don’t forget Idah’s contribution this season, as the club wouldn’t be on the verge of title-winning success without his presence.

Adam Idah’s brilliant tribute to the Celtic support

Among the emotions of an excellent afternoon at Parkhead, Idah took to Instagram post-match and thanked the support for their ‘amazing’ backing against Rangers yesterday.

Posting a selection of pictures from the match, the 23-year-old accompanied the images with a caption which read: ‘+3 at home. Amazing support as always (followed by a green heart emoji).

Daizen Maeda showed his teammate some love in the comments, replying with three green heart emojis following his cameo display.

Celtic are now nearly over the line and will soon turn their attention to the opportunity of mathematically confirming themselves champions against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

However, the players can’t be blamed for enjoying this victory a little more than usual, in light of the significance attached.
