All approximately one hundred exhibits of the exhibition entitled »Czech crystal, automobiles, design« are placed among the parked historic cars and motorcycles, of which there are a total of 120 pieces.
“The essence of the exhibition and the beauty of it is that Czech art is articulated here, from cars, through glassmaking, sculpture to watchmaking. All the brands on display conquered the world with their elegance and precision,Roman Jurečko (57), chairman of the Plzeň Foundation Foundation, revealed to itself, which organizes the exhibition.
True uniques
There are real gems to be seen. “Among the most valuable here is the largest, full-wall crystal statue representing Venus. It weighs 243 kg and has a diameter of 88 cm,” Kristýna Nachtmannová (33), director of the Plzeň Endowment Fund, said to herself.
Another interesting exhibit is the so-called subfossil forest, which is formed from the trunks of 6,500 old oak trees. Not only works of art can be seen here, but also the car of the actress Lída Baarová or the Praga RS4 racing car from 2012. “It goes at a speed of 305 km/h and eight pieces were produced,” said Jan Martínek, technical director of Praga. The exhibition lasts until June 2.
PRIM watch
There are 10 pieces of classy watches on display. The most valuable are those named Orlík Anthropoid from 2017. Their price is 200,000. “A limited edition of 75 units produced for the 75th anniversary of Operation Anthropoid,” reminded the CEO of PRIM Renata Červenák Nývltová.
Another valuable piece are those from 2023 made for the 130th anniversary of the birth of Jan Kašpar. They carried the story of the first plane flight between Pardubice and Prague. 100 were produced with a price tag of 59,000.
Splendid crystal collection
In 1911, Leo Moser and his glassmakers created a representative set that still shines at royal banquets today. TG Masaryk liked the collection, as did Václav Havel.
In 1947, President Beneš gave it as a wedding gift to Princess Elizabeth, already with the monogram of the future Queen of England. “Exactly 60 years later, the completed set was also presented to the Queen for her diamond wedding anniversary,” Nachtmann said.
Copenhagen crystal collection
It is one of the most luxurious Moser collections since the time of the first Czechoslovak president TG Masaryk. “Used at Prague Castle and Lány Castle from 1918 until now,” Nachtmann said.
Due to the representative nature of this collection, a number of heads of state from all over the world bought this series of master Czech crystal. This collection is used in the palace of King Hussein of Jordan or at the Spanish court.
