Gracious God, we give you thanks for the 30 pilgrims from eight Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles missions and parishes journeying this morning with their family members and friends to St. John’s Cathedral in Los Angeles to be confirmed or received in The Episcopal Church. May the sacrament’s power bind them closer to you and all creation, including even the new friends they could make this very day from all over our far-flung diocese. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
