Cody Rhodes' King & Queen Of The Ring Challenger Decided

Cody Rhodes will defend his title at King & Queen Of The Ring 2024

At Backlash 2024, Cody Rhodes outlasted his first televised challenger for his newly won Undisputed WWE Championship, defeating AJ Styles in a hot main event. On SmackDown last night, General Manager Nick Aldis revealed his next challenger for the upcoming King & Queen Of The Ring premium live event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

His opponent will be the reigning United States Champion Logan Paul, who emerged to face off with Rhodes. The pair exchanged words, with Paul taking credit for the buzz around the likes of Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, rather than it being about Rhodes winning. Rhodes stood his ground and said the credit is for everybody to share.

During their promo battle, it was hinted that Rhodes wanted to get his hands on the United States Championship too in order to make himself a Grand Slam Champion, though there was no confirmation on whether this would indeed be a Title vs. Title match. With a contract signing set to take place next week, we will likely see a confirmation either way. If it does indeed end up being a Title vs. Title match, then the winner would hold both the WWE & United States Championships simultaneously for the first time since Seth Rollins won both at SummerSlam 2015.
