Yvonne Smojo McGee OBITUARY

Yvonne Smojo McGee Oct. 15, 1922 – Aug. 6, 2013 A vivacious and fun loving person, Yvonne made many friends around the world with her generosity and her hand raised exotic birds. Born in New Orleans, she worked in New York and was transferred in 1946 to San Francisco. She met her husband, Captain Taylor McGee at an officers club dance at the Fairmont. They married in 1947, and moved to Marin in 1955. Yvonne passed peacefully in her sleep at home at Muir Beach. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Taylor, her daughters, Kathleen, Genevieve (Larry Tan), her sons, Dennis, Antone, her grandchildren Taylor, Bonnie, Daniel, Josiah, Emalie, and her beloved dog Snoopy. We will all miss her dearly. The family wishes to thank her many friends for their love and support. Special thanks to Alex and Deborah and everyone else at Heartland Hospice for their amazing care.
