Ishq Vishk Rebound is one of the most anticipated rom-coms of 2024. The first film in the franchise, titled Ishq Vishk, starred Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao and was released in 2003. The second installment will feature Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, Naila Grrewal and Hrithik Roshan’s cousin, Pashmina Roshan. The new film is expected to delve into what love is for Gen Z. The character posters for the film were released recently and Pashmina Roshan, who will make her Bollywood debut, essays the role of Sanya. Hrithik Roshan was seen rooting for his sister and expressing his excitement for the film.
Hrithik Roshan shared the character poster featuring Pashmina and wrote, “So proud of you Pashmina Roshan ! You made it to this moment all on your own ! Can’t wait to watch you shine ! Your spirit is going to take you far! Ishq Vishk Rebound is going to ROCK !! All the best to the entire team !! Mark the date ! 21st June 2024.” In the poster, Pashmina Roshan is seen sitting with a golf stick dressed in a checkered skirt and blue crop top.

Meanwhile, Pashmina Roshan is getting all the love from people around her. Hrithik Roshan’s girlfriend, Saba Azad, is also rooting for her debut and shared the poster on her social handle. Uploading Pashmina’s poster on her Instagram stories, Saba wrote, “It’s my Pashoo’s first movieeeee..go get em my lil cute.”
Other character posters depict Rohit Saraf surrounded by a diary, Naila Grrewal, with a coffee mug. Jibraan Khan’ character appears to be a fitness maniac. While the first movie still remains memorable and was Shahid Kapoor debut film as a lead, the second film promises to be enthralling.
Earlier, Rohit Saraf said that the two films have nothing in common other than their names. He said, “I am not stepping into Shahid (Kapoor)’s shoes. The only thing that the two films, Ishq Vishk and Ishq Vishk Rebound hold in common is just the name. It is the franchise which is common. It is not stepping into anybody’s shoes. It is a very different story. It is a story about new age love. It is a story about love and friendship in today’s world, in 2023.”
Ishq Vishk Rebound is produced by Ramesh Taurani of Tips Films and directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari. Interestingly, he also co-directed Mismatched, starring Rohit Saraf opposite Prajakta Koli.
