Yahoo Mail app not sending notifications

I’m sorry if this is not the right place for this, but I recently upgraded from and iPhone 11 to and iPhone 14 and everything with the transfer went fine, but since using my new phone I no longer get notifications from my yahoo mail app about emails. If I go into the app, all my new emails pop up at one time and when exiting the app the red bubble with how many unread emails I have shows up, but that’s only after I open the app. It sends me no notifications and does not put the red bubble on the app icon unless I open the app. I checked and I have notifications turned on for yahoo mail both through my iPhone settings and the settings on the yahoo mail app, so I’m at a loss for what to do next.
