I f16 am a really big fan if Troye Sivan and last dec bought vip tickets to see him in Portugal may 29th.(wich is in 11 days!!!🥳) I didn't have anyone else to go with me since no one I know likes troye or has the money to travel al the way to Portugal (I live in the Netherlands but am travelling from Spain (long story we're moving there soon)) so my dad was like: I'll go with you! I was hesitant at first but agreed fast since I really wanted to go. Now at first we said we'll buy 2 tickets for us 2 but my dad for I really don't know what reason bought 3 tickets since he though my brother (15) would also like too come (we asked..he REALLY didn't) then we said oke your brother will just come with too Portugal and skip the concert (wich last part I heavely suggested) since we can't just leave him all alone in Spain while my mom is in The Netherlands. Oke thats fine. Now he's saying: "yeah I still really don't like troye but I'll wont have anything else to do so I'll just come with you to troye even if it's just to yell boooo" ...... I've already said he obvi can't do that, and I'm serieusly considering walking away from them in the concert if they do even ONE bad/homophobic thing there. Also everytime I've tried to play Troye's music they keep making very homophobic comments to me especially my dad who keeps saying: "is there anything I should worry about now that you like this gay dude" ??????? LIKE EXCUSE ME???? (I am bi btw but they don't know and I aint telling them obvi) he also called me a homophobic slur in Dutch even when I told him I was straight........... And if you're wondering "why did he even say he'll go with u if he knows troye is gay and he's homophobic?" Good question..for the vibes???? he said???? Ig he just likes going to concerts...?
I'm still so excited to go tho!!! It's all I can think about and I can't wait!! (Anyone here also going I'de love to talk and MAYBE even meet up??? But not sure 'bout that)

tell security at the venue and try to dm or email troye about it. theyll figure something out - even if its to kick them out or to keep an eye on your dad and brother.
Yea I'll think about that, I really don't wanna cause a scene tho so I'de rather kick them in the head myself, but if they really did something I think it would bother me only, I don't think they'd like ruin the concert for other people aswell
I think that most people that are homophobes- are passively homophobic. They may expeess hate, but in real life situations they are usually too covard to actively do something. I think in the sea of positive young fans they will feel too ashamed to cause a scene, especially when they chose to go to the concert themselves. They would just look stupid and that usually does the trick. So I think you are safe. But it can definitely kill the vibe for you! So I would try to arrage something else for them to do instead of the concert.

Eeh joo Nederlander hier! Veel plezier bij Troye!! Ik heb 'm 1x eerder gezien en de concerten zijn echt heel goed vond ik. Hopelijk gedragen je vader en broer zich een beetje, maak vooral vrienden met mensen die je daar vindt :)
