ELSBETH Exclusive Clip: Elsbeth Subtly Interrogates Arian Moayed’s Bar Owner

“Sweet Justice” – After hearing his favorite patron talk about being bullied mercilessly in college, the charismatic owner of an exclusive cocktail bar (Arian Moayed) decides to seek revenge on her behalf, but his desire for justice leads to a deadly mistake, leaving Elsbeth and Kaya to connect the dots. When a bar owner’s quest to protect his favorite customer takes a deadly twist, Elsbeth (Carrie Preston) quickly comes to suspect the man on the Thursday, May 16 episode of ELSBETH.

In an exclusive clip from “Sweet Justice,” Elsbeth seeks out the man—Joe (Arian Moayed)—and opens up about her own past helplessness when someone she loves was hurting.

“My son was bullied,” Elsbeth explains in the video below. “This other boy just completely ruined seventh grade.”

“I was so angry,” she continues. “I wanted to…I wanted to hurt that nasty kid. I wanted to do something. But what kind of lesson would I be teaching my son?”

Joe, however, sees it differently. “But if you had done something, it might have made you closer to your son,” he replies. “Maybe made the world a better place. I mean, where is this kid right now? Maybe he’s a doctor getting people hooked on fentanyl. Or a corrupt politician. Or maybe he’s just a petty little tyrant, crushing people in his petty little world. There has to be some justice. If something goes wrong, we have to make it right. We can’t wait for someone else to do it.”

And then Elsbeth asks if he made it right for his patron. But how does he respond? Watch the scene…
