PROVINCIAL WEATHER OVERVIEW

GAUTENG PROVINCE

Cloudy, becoming partly and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers in the afternoon. The expected UVB sunburn Index Low

MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

Cloudy and cool with morning fog patches in the east and drizzle at times on the Lowveld and escarpment areas, becoming partly cloudy in the west in the afternoon where it will be warm. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected on the Highveld in the afternoon.

LIMPOPO PROVINCE

Cloudy and cool to warm with drizzle at times along the escarpment, becoming partly cloudy in the south-west in the afternoon. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the south in the afternoon.

NORTH-WEST PROVINCE

Cloudy in the north-east in the morning, otherwise partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

FREE STATE

Cloudy in the extreme east at first, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers, except for the south- western parts.

NORTHERN CAPE

Fine and cool to warm, but partly cloudy in the east with isolated showers and thundershowers in the north-east. It will be hot in places in the north. The wind along the coast will be light to moderate easterly to south-easterly.

WESTERN CAPE

Morning fog in places over the southern interior, otherwise fine and cool but warm in the West Coast District. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh south-easterly to southerly but strong in the south. The expected UVB sunburn Index Moderate

WESTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Morning fog patches south of the escarpment and drizzle on the eastern parts of the coast where it will be cloudy at first, otherwise fine and cool but partly cloudy along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming strong in the afternoon.

EASTERN HALF OF THE EASTERN CAPE

Partly cloudy and cool but cloudy with morning in places south of the escarpment. Light rain is expected in places along the coast and adjacent interior. The wind along the coast will be moderate north-easterly, becoming strong in the afternoon.

KWAZULU-NATAL

Morning fog over the interior, otherwise cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain but scattered along the coast. The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh north-easterly but easterly to south-easterly north of Cape St. Lucia.
