Best, or Most Memorable Performances, By Year: 1968
Here's an opportunity to revisit and review great acting work of randomized years of world cinema.
Please list at least 10 of your favorite, or at least noteworthy, acting performances of the Cinema Year 1968.
You needn't distinguish between Lead and Supoorting Performances - no need to quibble about actors' screen time.
It should be a given that there's no "right" or "wrong" answers here. Just looking to stir up a little fun conversation about actors, actresses and movies, that's all.
My '68 list currently looks a little something like this:
Actress - 1 Catherine Deneuve, Belle de Jour 2 Olivia Hussey, Romeo & Juliet 3 Katharine Hepburn, The Lion in Winter 4 Tuesday Weld, Pretty Poison 5 Ruth Gordon, Rosemary’s Baby 6 Pat Heywood, Romeo and Juliet 7 Beverly Garland, Pretty Poison 8 Beryl Reid, The Killing of Sister George 9 Kim Hunter, Planet of the Apes 10 Claudia Cardinale, Once Upon a Time in the West
Actor - 1 Peter O’Toole, The Lion in Winter 2 Anthony Perkins, Pretty Poison 3 Anthony Hopkins, The Lion in Winter 4 Burt Lancaster, The Swimmer 5 Henry Fonda, Once Upon a Time in the West 6 Jack Albertson, The Subject Was Roses 7 Dick Shawn, The Producers 8 Walter Matthau, The Odd Couple 9 Leonard Whiting, Romeo & Juliet 10 Vincent Price, The Conqueror Worm
What do you think, what are your opinions? Cheers!

Douglas Rain - 2001 A Space Odyssey
I recently watched The Swimmer and I was blown away by it. Burt Lancaster was a proto Don Draper.
need to see many of these titles, but John Cassavetes in Rosemary's Baby certainly is worthy of more praise.
