Like Luke Grimes with his music, Cole Hauser has kept himself busy during Yellowstone’s prolonged absence.

Hauser has founded a coffee brand, crisscrossed the country advocating for veterans and their families, and starred in numerous ad campaigns. Now, more than a year after season five’s mid-season finale, the actor is concentrating on finally bringing Yellowstone to a close… and seeing what might be next for Rip Wheeler and his fiery wife Beth Dutton.

That’s right. In a recent interview with Country Living, Hauser hinted that Taylor Sheridan is mulling a Yellowstone spinoff starring Hauser and Kelly Reilly.

“I’m so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now—well, just the show itself,” Hauser recently told the outlet. “We’ll see where that leads. But I know that there’s some stuff on the horizon when it comes to Taylor’s ideas for Kelly Reilly and myself, and some of the other cast. I’m excited to see where he goes creatively with that. But right now it’s just: Let’s finish strong; let’s do the best we can.”

Reilly previously alluded to “discussions” to reprise her role as Beth while simultaneously warning fans not to put too much stock in rumors in a March interview with Radio Times

“I just care about finishing [the main show] with as much care and as much passion and as much love as I can muster to put into it. That’s what I care about. I’m sort of prepping for that now [and] that’s my tunnel vision thing that I care about most,” she said. “And what goes on beyond that? There are discussions, you know. Don’t believe everything you read. It’s just nonsense. But we’re gonna, you know, let’s wait and see. I don’t have an answer right now. But we’ll see.”

Filming on the second half of Yellowstone’s highly anticipated fifth and final season is reportedly scheduled to begin sometime this spring. It is set to premiere in November 2024—a year after it was originally slated to return.

When asked if fans can actually expect the final installment this fall, Hauser told Country Living: “God-willing—your lips to God's ears.”

This is a developing story.
