both have good restaurants - as said, you'd have to dine at many to decide which would be your favorite.

Its also Victoria not Victory.

Greater Vancouver is about 6.5 times the population of Greater Victoria, so it has many more restaurants. It doesn't mean they're necessarily better, but there are many more to choose from.

You received some excellent restaurant suggestions for Victoria on your other thread (which you never bothered to acknowledge). Perhaps make up your own mind.

In downtown Vancouver many restaurants will be highly commercial businesses because of the high costs of running a business there. To find a greater number of family run/owner operated restaurants you would need to look farther away from downtown. Neighbourhoods like Hastings Street near Commercial Drive. East Hastings between Nanaimo St and Renfrew St, in the Hastings-Sunrise neighbourhood. Many restaurants here will be unpretentious, low key, every day family run restaurants.

Commercial Drive (locally called "The Drive" is a wonderful street for family run businesses, including restaurants and coffee shops. This neighbourhood is located between Venables St to the north and Broadway to the south.

Main St, in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, is another neighbourhood with a number of family owned and run restaurants and other businesses. This area is between 2nd Avenue and about 30th Avenue. Open the tab for the Member Directory in the following page:

West Broadway is a long street, east - west across the whole of Vancouver city. There will be a number of family owned restaurants along this street.
