Manchester City win Premier League title after beating West Ham; Arsenal beat Everton, finish second

City do it again

It may have gone to the last day, but was it ever really in doubt? Manchester City are once again the champions of England with their sixth league title in the last seven -- and may have one more trophy left in them this season with next week's FA Cup final.

Arsenal take the lead

90' It may have taken 90 minutes, but Arsenal are finally in front Havertz finishes from close range. It closes the gap atop the table to two points, but Manchester City are still in first with just stoppage time to play.

United are spoiling De Zerbi's exit

It's a goal from Rasmus Hojlund as the Red Devils are now cruising in the match after two second half goals.

Brentford are climbing back

Don't blink as Yoane Wissa has netted Brentford's second and are only trailing by one. Burnley got a goal back and Eze netted Palace's fifth goal of the day.

Kulusevski has a brace now for Tottenham while Mateta has a hat trick for Crystal Palace, what a final day this has been but all eyes are still on City and Arsenal.

A third for City

59' City's two goal lead has been restored courtesy of a strong strike from just outside of the penalty from Rodri, giving the hosts a realistic cushion in the title race. Half an hour left on the clock for City to close out their fourth successive league title now.

We've got a wild one at Luton

Two stoppage time goals as Carlton Morris nets a penalty and Raul Jimenez answered right back as Harry Wilson grabs his second assist of the game. Quite some finish but this is what the final day of the season is all about.

West Ham pull one back

42' Kudus' overhead kick passes the VAR check, adding a bit more intrigue to the title race. City are still in charge with a four point gap at the top of the table, but the margins are getting narrower.

Arsenal equalize

43' Just three minutes after going down, Arsenal are back on level terms thanks to a goal from Tomiyasu. It'll take more for the Gunners to take top spot, but it's a deserved goal for the team that has been in charge of the match so far.

Liverpool finds a second and it's a record breaker

Now the Reds are ahead 2-0 as no one tracked Quansah and he slots it past Sa for goal number 1223 of the Premier League season, a new record for goals in one season.

Everton take the lead

40' Arsenal may be the favorites to win at home, but Gueye's expertly taken freekick lands in the back of the net and gives Everton a 1-0 lead. The Gunners were already out of luck in the title race with City's win, but this makes a bad day worse for them.

Blink and you may miss something 

Alexander Isak scores now and Newcastle have two goals in a minute to go ahead 3-0. This is wrapped up but it's clear that Eddie Howe has his team focused on ending the season on the right foot.

After already seeing one goal ruled out due to VAR the Magpies get a second

Alexander Isak turns into the provider to setup Jacob Murphy as they're off and running after the goal from close range.

There it is for Liverpool

It's Alexis Mac Allister who opens the scoring on an emotional day at Anfield.

Wolves see red

Nelson Semedo is sent off 29 minutes in as his yellow card was upgraded to a red card due to a challenge on Alexis Mac Allister. Liverpool were already dominating possession so it will be just a matter of time until they get an opening goal.

A second for City

18' Foden just bagged another goal for City, finishing from close distance after Doku played a smart pass to him. It's 2-0 to the reigning champions now, and the title feels incredibly within reach even with so much time left on the clock.

A brace for Chris Wood

This season has been quite a struggle for the Tricky Trees but they're able to take out some of that frustration on the final day of the Premeir League season.

The Emirates is quelled

Remember what I said earlier about nothing really stopping the party in north London. It seems I might have expected more than this atmosphere delivered. You can't really get much of a buzz going when City score one within 116 seconds. Word is just trickling in about the second. Everyone in the crowd seems to know the jig is up. A goal might at least bring back the carnival atmosphere but for now Jordan Pickford is not minded to give out freebies.

The goals are rolling in now

Moises Caicedo has scored for Chelsea following quite a hit from distance. The Blues are set for Europa Confrence Leaague at the moment. It's the first Chelsea goal for Caicedo and what a way to do it.

It's Dejan Kulusevski for Spurs

Sheffield United was giving Tottenham trouble with their attack but it only took 14 minutes for Spurs to find their feet as Kulusevski slots home a great shot assisted by Son. To secure Europa Leauge, this is very much needed.

Jean-Philippe Mateta is the hottest player in the Premier League

The Crystal Palace forward has now scored in three consecutive games and five of his last six appearances for Palace. The Eagles could be a team to watch next season as they could end this Premier League campaign on a tear going undefeated in their last seven matches.
