Yet another lost, and then found recording from a truly remarkable time in Neil’s career. So happy this is finally seeing the light of day. I will definitely be getting both the vinyl and the CD to add to my ever growing collection of Neil Young recordings.

@Brian Lux - what I said about passing on a few releases…got me thinking so I looked at my records on Discogs.
In 2018 I put all the vinyl in release date order.
6 years ago. For most artists that’d be 6 albums or less.
Even with skipping a few, there have been 18 releases/purchases in 6 years.
    Oh yeah, this’ll be 19.

Interesting idea! I'll have to try that sometime. Just off the top of my head, I'm sure I have 6 or more releases by the following:
    Neil Young
    The Replacements/ Paul Westerberg
    The Dream Syndicate/ Steve Wynn
    Dinosaur Jr.
    Juliana Hatfield
    Jimi Hendrix
    Albert Ayler
    Ornette Coleman
    Larry Coryell
    John Coltrane
    Miles Davis
    Sun Ra

    Probably some others...

I do get a but obsessed with certain musicians and bands, lol.

You just made me pull out Mr. Soul, Syndicate style. Thanks for the detour!

I have an original mix, first pressing of Neil’s first album. Yet I’ve often considered also getting a Chris Bellman reissue just to see if I’d hear a dramatic difference on those four tracks.
I’m convinced Neil’s fans can be just as Looney Tunes as Shakey himself.

It would be great if they were listed in the dedicated thread.

Also, is “Come On Baby Let’s Go Downtown” another live version?

Looks like it's more about the vinyl market for this one. Neil certainly likes to keep sides short for best quality.

I'm getting this on vinyl but I'm hesitant to order it from Greedy hand. My copy of f$##in up arrived with both inners split and the top of the cover split.

I like ordering from Greedy Hand because you get the high res files with it but I’m pretty aggravated that I keep getting “The remaining items are currently not available. Please adjust the quantity” every time I try to preorder the clear vinyl.

Why is there nowhere to sign in to an actual account at Greedy Hand ?

I got my instant-grat downloads from the Warner Music Canada version of GH: "Look at All the Things I Gotta Do" and "Everybody's Alone". Both are WAV files designated '24192-ProdMaster_13Mar2024' in the file names. Wonderfully dynamic, punchy analogue sound, great to hear Danny in full flight on "Things"! Neil repeating the title at the end is either off-mic or mixed out, but you can hear it a little bit leaking in the other mics

Very excited to see the Horse ride again Monday, what a time to be alive :)

Pondering the difference between listening to and absorbing and loving a new Neil Young release via lovely clear AAA vinyl ownership vs. doing so by streaming a beautifully mastered high-res version raises interesting questions, most of them not about the music per se.

Is the clear vinyl on Greedy Hand a limited edition? It’s already sold out. Guess I should have placed my order last night…

I thought $30 for clear vinyl plus hi-res was a great deal. Oh well. Guess I’ll stick with the hi-res. Thank you.

I think you have misinterpreted @Myke's post. He means he has made 18 Neil Young purchases in the last 6 years, not 18 in total.
