Lisa McHugh is one busy lady as not only is she releasing her new album, Black Mountain Sessions, on Friday she is also preparing to welcome her second baby.
The singer also has a two-year-old son called Milo who she says is very aware now that there is a baby in mum's belly and often 'gives it kisses.'
Lisa, who is due in early August, says that while she is more relaxed the second time around, she knows how important it is to make sure you have some 'me time' when you have small kids.
Chatting with EVOKE, the star says that this time around she won't be taking as much time off for maternity leave as she did with her first.
She said: 'I just didn't really know what to expect, what was going to happen afterwards. I took a good break then but this time I want to take a break, of course, I don't want it to go back too soon. I want to enjoy the whole baby bubble as well, but at the same time, I love my job.'
With music comes long hours and trips away and a recent trip to Nashville, where she was nine days away from her son Milo, was tough for the singer.
Thinking back she said: 'That was the longest I'd ever been away from Milo and it was really, really tough. I found that long and so I couldn't wait to get home. I don't think I would go away as long again.'
While she was feeling homesick for her little one, Lisa also says that when becoming a parent it is important to to have your own time.
She said: 'You have to have "me time" too,' she said. 'You have to remember who you are and who you were before having a baby. It's just finding that balance - that's the juggle for every mum and dad.'
With her new album, which promises to be a little different than the ones gone before, dropping on May 17 and with a baby on the way, Lisa is making sure she is prepped and ready to return to the stage before the end of the year.
Getting ahead of the game, the busy mum has already begun her next record and by the time it is released, she will have a new little fan by her side, cheering her on with big brother Milo.
