MUMBAI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address a public gathering at Shivaji Park in Dadar, Mumbai, on Friday, just three days before the fifth phase of the current Lok Sabha elections. The rally would be held at Shivaji Park in Dadar.
In anticipation of the rally, the Mumbai Traffic Police has released a traffic advisory for the area surrounding Shivaji Park in Dadar.
The purpose of the advisory is to minimize vehicular congestion and ensure smooth traffic flow during the 'Jahir Sabha' event on May 17.

"Due to a public meeting at Shivaji Park, Dadar and Fataka Ground, BKC alongside an IPL match at Wankhede Stadium, traffic congestion is expected at Marine Drive, Eastern Express Highway (EEH), and Western Express Highway (WEH)," tweeted the Mumbai Traffic Police.

"Special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 10.00am to midnight. Air and Rail passengers are advised to plan alternative routes to ensure timely travel," Mumbai Traffic Police said in a post on X on Friday.

"In view of a 'Public meeting' (Jahir Sabha) organised at Shivaji Park, Dadar on 17th May evening, a large number of VVIPs and supporters are expected to attend it. To avoid traffic congestion on WEH & EEH traffic arrangements will be in place from 10 am to midnight on 17th May," police said in a post on X on Thursday.
