Dua Lipa reigns supreme in the U.K. this week with her new album Radical Optimism. The set debuts at No. 1 on the ranking of the most-consumed full-lengths, giving the singer her second career champion.
As Radical Optimism is greeted with a very warm welcome, Lipa’s previous set returns. This frame, that full-length isn’t just back, it’s celebrating a special milestone – one which the pop superstar has only reached once before.
Future Nostalgia re-enters the U.K. albums chart this week, likely due to increased attention placed on Lipa and her music. The disco-leaning pop project, which was released in 2020, reappears at No. 85 on the tally this time around.
As it finds its way back to the albums ranking in the U.K., Future Nostalgia also hits a notable number. The title has now spent 104 weeks somewhere on the 100-spot list of the top full-lengths and EPs in the country. It’s now her second effort to rack up two years on the list.
As Radical Optimism and Future Nostalgia both enjoy special weeks, Lipa’s only other album is also present. Her self-titled debut, which turned her into a household name in the U.K., shoots from No. 71 to No. 55 on the same roster. That studio LP has now lived on the chart for 355 frames.
As she claims three spaces on the albums chart in the country she calls home, Lipa manages to own the same number of positions on the songs ranking. Current Radical Optimism single “Illusion” is steady at No. 16 after recently breaking into the top 10 and peaking at No. 9. New album cut “These Walls” starts at No. 40, giving the Grammy winner her latest top 40 smash. Past single “Training Season,” which is also taken from the new album, improves from No. 66 to No. 61. That cut once climbed as high as No. 4.
