A Michigan native is making one of the most packed Motor City Comic Cons even bigger this weekend.

In addition to appearing at the three-day event, actor Ernie Hudson, who hails from Benton Harbor and graduated from Wayne State University, will host a special screening and Q&A of “Ghostbusters” at 8 p.m. Friday, May 17 at Emagine Novi, 44425 W. 12 Mile Road. Hudson is best known for his role portraying Winston Zeddemore in the “Ghostbusters” film franchise.

That will be an off-site addition to the rest of the spring edition of MC3, which runs Friday through Sunday, May 17-19, at the Suburban Collection Showplace, 46100 Grand River Ave., Novi.

Hudson will be among a genuine galaxy of stars that includes “Cheers” alumni George Wendt and John Ratzenberger, “Star Trek” stars William Shatner, Gates McFadden and Denise Crosby, Helen Hunt, Katey Segal, Ron Perlman, Cobie Smulder, Bruce Greenwood and many more.
