The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has been incredibly exciting for fans of both musicians and hip-hop aficionados to watch. It’s been even more entertaining for millions to listen to, as the battle between the rappers has played out publicly in songs the two have released aimed at one another.
Both Drake and Lamar have scored hits thanks to this ongoing war, but the latter musician appears to be winning. A quick look at the U.S. iTunes chart shows just how intense his lead is over his Canadian colleague.
Lamar’s song “Not Like Us” is steady at No. 1 on iTunes’ ranking of the bestselling tracks in America on the platform. The cut has been living in first place for days, and it’s still performing incredibly well, as nothing has given the title a run for its money.
Two more spots inside the top five also belong to Lamar, and they’re both diss tracks that look to cut Drake down. As of the time of writing, “Meet the Grahams” is a non-mover at No. 4. “Euphoria,” the oldest of the bunch, is still selling, as it’s present at No. 5.
Lamar reignited this feud earlier this year with his single “Like That,” which is fronted by Future and Metro Boomin. That smash debuted atop the Hot 100, and it’s back inside the top 10 this week at No. 8. On iTunes, “Like That” is climbing, as it’s up slightly to No. 16.
Drake isn’t absent from the iTunes chart, but his Lamar-focused barbs aren’t selling nearly as well. “Family Matters” recently slipped outside the top 10, and at the moment, it appears at No. 15. “Push Ups,” the first of his disses, slides backward to No. 34, though it’s been out for well over a week, so its position isn’t too shocking.
When Billboard refreshes the Hot 100 in a few days, it seems likely that Lamar will collect two new wins. Both “Not Like Us” and “Meet the Grahams” will be eligible for the tally, and they’re predicted to open close to the summit. “Euphoria,” which debuts at No. 11 this week, may advance into the top 10.
Drake’s “Push Ups” is still holding on inside the top 20 on the Hot 100, though how it will perform next week is unclear. “Family Matters” is also likely headed for a notable debut on the chart, though it looks like it won’t compete with any of Lamar’s smashes.
