Loose Women’s Judi Love gives hilarious response after appearing to 'eye roll' at Lorraine Kelly during BAFTAs

It appears people may have been too quick to assume there's beef between presenters Lorraine Kelly and Judi Love

Judi has broken her silence after footage appeared to show her rolling her eyes at Lorraine Kelly following her BAFTA win last night (12 May).

Lorraine was honoured with a special award for her outstanding contribution to television.

The ITV presenter, who presents the eponymous Lorraine, was met with raucous applause following her win.

Holding her award, Lorraine stood on stage and said: "I'm on the telly tomorrow, but I'm going to celebrate tonight! Thank you so much."

Ant and Dec could be seen smiling and clapping, but when the camera panned to comedian and presenter Judi Love, there appeared to be a very different reaction.

She could be seen giving a serious side eye, or as interpreted by some, a full-on eye roll.

The footage and Lorraine's win garnered a lot of praise, with many congratulating the TV host on her 'well-deserved' award.

However, this was then followed by criticism aimed at Lorraine for not always hosting her own show.

An account was set up on X, @LorraineKWatch, which assessed how often she is away from the show and Christine Lampard or Ranvir Singh had stepped in.

Lorraine has previously explained that she had to take time off to care for her unwell mother.

She spoke out about it on BBC Radio 4's Woman's Hour in February, where she shared: "The amount of space I occupy in people's heads is quite bizarre.

"It's fine, I don't mind, I don't care.

“I probably would have cared before but I really don't now, it's absolutely fine.

“To be honest, you should never comment on things like that if you don't know what's going on in people's lives.

“I am having to take quite a few Fridays off because of my mum's really not well, so I can go home now and spend some more time with her, probably a bit more than I have been able to - so that's happening just now, but that will change.

"I have been doing five days a week for 40 years so I am taking a wee bit of time off and obviously this is half-term so I am free to talk to you, which is fantastic."

She also expressed praise towards her replacement hosts, calling Lampard 'wonderful' on X.

Following the footage of Judi circulating on social media, many took the opportunity to make a jibe.

One person wrote: "Judi knows Lorraine ain't working this week after that win."

Another added: "Judi Love just knows already that Lorraine isn’t turning up to her show tomorrow."

While a third said: "She’s so real for not clapping when it’s Christine and Ranvir that deserve the award instead."

Well, it seems people may have been a bit too quick to revel in the supposed beef as Judi took to X to clear up the rumours.

She wrote: "After last night incident and now this morning becoming international news! I’d like to make an official statement, please watch till the end!!"

The clip shows Lorraine's speech, Judi's reaction and then cuts to Judi and Lorraine stood side by side, with their arms folded and side-eyeing each other then bursting into laughter.

It seems the two women have a lot of love for each other, after all.

Tyla has previously contacted Lorraine Kelly's representatives for comment.
