SAN ANTONIO - A man has died after a gunman opened fire on his West Side home.

The shooting happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at a home off South San Marcos Street near Interstate 10.

Police said when officers arrived, they found 33-year-old Miguel Marquez with a gunshot wound to this stomach. Marquez was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

He later succumbed to his injuries.

Nobody in the area saw the shooting take place. The investigation is ongoing.
