How can I reset my Surface Go w/no physical keyboard or password?

I have a 1st Gen Surface Go. No physical keyboard and I can't remember my password or the answers to the security questions. How do I reset it? I tried what Microsoft recommended, but the WiFi screen doesn't have an option to factory reset. Is there a way to make it work or do I just need to throw this in the trash?

Hello CherylWilliams,

Welcome to Microsoft Community.

After reading everything you've posted here, I've noticed that the current situation is more grim.

You have a Surface Go without a Typer Cover, but at the same time you forget your login password and security questions. This means that you will not be able to enter the system to reset your Surface, and you will not be able to enter WinRE with the combination of Shift+ power keys. That said, at this point you can only restore your Surface Go with the help of the Surface dedicated USB recovery image:

Creating and using a USB recovery drive for Surface - Microsoft Support

The video in the link above contains the complete steps, including creating a Surface specific recovery image on another computer and using it to access WinRE and restore your Surface, if you have not read the steps in this link, please be patient and follow the instructions in it.

But if you've already done this and still can't recover your Surface Go, it's time to send your device to the Surface support team:

I wish you all the best.
