This Friday the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced All Region honors for the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season. Among this list Senior JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) and Sophomore D'shawn Dorsey were named.

This is Ramirez's second time receiving All Region honor whereas this is Dorsey's first time cracking the list. All Region honors are presented to the top-5 individuals in each event from each region, Dorsey being in high jump and Ramirez in triple jump respectfully.

D'Shawn Dorsey (South Holland, Ill./Thornwood), currently tied 6th nationally in high jump, is set to compete in the NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Dorsey's journey to this point has been marked by numerous victories and stellar performances, including setting a new school record in high jump, clinching 4th place at the GLIAC outdoor championship, and earning GLIAC Male Field Athlete of the Week honors.  This is Dorsey's first time receiving All Region honors after putting up a remarkable season.

JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa), ranked 17th nationally in the triple jump event, has also had an exceptional season and will also be taking part in the NCAA Division II Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Ramirez holds the school record in triple jump and has secured multiple first place finishes in his event throughout the season. After four GLIAC Championships won, including his latest victory in the previous GLIAC Outdoor Championships, Ramirez has proven his skill and proven why he deserves to crack this list. This will be Ramirez's second All Region honors only adding to his impressive catalog.

Both of these remarkable athletes will be in action at the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships begin May 23-25 at Welch Stadium in Emporia, Kansas.
