Man caught smoking weed in park tells police 'wife won't let him at home'

Thames Valley Police has seized a car this week after discovering a man smoking cannabis in his vehicle for the second time.

Officers in Reading announced on social media that they spotted the man in Prospect Park on the morning of May 14.

According to the offender, he chose the ‘naturalistic’ location due to his wifes distaste of ‘smoking cannabis in the house’.

After checking the system, police identified that he had been dealt with two years ago for the same offence in the location.

TVP Reading stated on their social media: “We were more robust this time in dealing with the male, also giving him a wet walk home to explain to his wife where the car is.”
