Nightwing, Transformers and More: 2024 Eisner Award Nominees Revealed

The list of nominees for the 2024 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards has been revealed. Essentially the equivalent of the Oscars for the comic book industry, the Eisners highlight the best and most noteworthy releases of the past year.

Image Comics and DC Comics are the biggest winners in this year's lineup, bringing in 17 (plus 8 shared) and 13 (plus 8 shared) nominations, respectively. DC's Nightwing series is especially well-represented this year, including nominations for Best Continuing Series, Best Single Issue (Nightwing #105, which features a story told in first-person perspective) and Best Writer (Tom Taylor).

Among the individual creators nominated, Birds of Prey and The Cull writer Kelly Thompson topped the list with five nominations followed by Taylor with three.

The 2024 Eisner Award winners will be revealed at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, during a ceremony at the San Diego Hilton Bayfront Hotel. The full list of nominees is below:
