Everything Meghan Markle Wore on Her Tour of Nigeria - Fashionista Skip to main content

Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world's eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We'll be following the Meghan Markle Effect with our column, "Meghan Markle Wore a Thing."

Meghan Markle just broke her streak of neutral dressing while visiting Nigeria, swapping her preferred tan and navy color palette for bright yellows, vibrant reds and (gasp!) prints.

She and Prince Harry have been on tour in the African country, attending meetings and events in major cities like Lagos and the capital of Abuja to promote the Invictus Games. For the trip, the Duchess of Sussex packed pieces from her go-to brands (Carolina HerreraJohanna Ortiz, Jennifer Meyer) as well some by local talent (a red dress with ruffled hems by Nigerian designer Orire stole the show). The royal had fun stepping away from her typical dress code, but she didn't completely ditch it: Neutrals were still present in a St. Agni dress, Altuzarra suit and Aquazzara and Manolo Blahnik stilettos.

Keep scrolling to see her looks from the tour of Nigeria, which we'll continue updating as appearances continue.
