Which movie for Rickman?
Not the OP, but for me personally, I'd nominate him for "Sense and Sensibility" (1995).
That's a great one. He was nominated for the BAFTA for that and probably should have gotten a nomination. Also Kate Winslet would probably be my pick for supporting actress win that year. Her or Kathleen Quinlan from Apollo 13. Both were better than Mira Sorvino.

No, he played Mohammed Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. And yeah, it was pretty controversial - not for the blatant brownface though, but rather the fact that he previously played Dracula, as supernatural stuff is forbidden in Islam.
Joseph Cotten is my go-to example for this.

Pretty much who I would have suggested. Myrna Loy and Robinson are quite surprising. I would add Vincent Price and Boris Karloff as well.
Lorre is like the original "that guy" actor. And so good at it. Hes incredible in M. Really a foundational role for movie psychos.

Harry Dean Stanton is someone who I’m surprised never got any major award nomination. Most of his nominations are posthumous, for Lucky (2017). The only big award show to recognize him is for a SAG and even that was for “best ensemble performance” in The Green Mile (which it should’ve won).

Not for a film that he was in during his lifetime, but I have no doubt Anton Yelchin could've eventually had a performance worthy of a nomination
