There are many temples across the globe dedicated to Lord Krishna. There is one temple in India where reportedly the sweet and mellow tune of a flute and tinkling of anklets have been heard at night. The capital of Bihar, Patna has many important heritage monuments and historical temples. One such temple is Shri Radha Gopal Temple at Chaudhary Tola Ghat in Patna, which was built by Raja Heet Narayan Singh of Tikari Raj in 1830. Later, this temple was taken over by a queen, who in old age donated it to a saint named Devraha Baba. Ever since it has been the saint who has been managing the temple. Every Sunday, Bhajan Keertan is organised at the temple premises. Apart from this, the temple also houses a shelter for devotees to stay in the temple complex.
The temple has been garnering attention for the sound of the anklets and a flute at night. Madheshwar Mishra, the priest shared that the temple is spread across a huge land and at night, many have clearly heard the sound of anklets and tunes of a flute here. He said that the devotees of Lord Krishna believe to have felt his presence in this temple.
In an interview with Local18, Shani Mishra, a nearby resident said that the temple has many stories related to it. People strongly believe that Radha and Gopal reside here and hence, his Leela can be experienced. He further added that to the peaceful environment, students come to study every evening where they can witness breathtaking views of the river Ganga.
The temple has more than 22 cows on the huge premises. Nagendra, who looks after the cows, said that there are more calves than cows here. All the cows are of indigenous breed, which attracts people from all walks of life to come to the temple and collect cow’s urine. Interestingly, the calves are not stopped from drinking the milk of the cows in the temple. The caretaker extracts the milk from the cow, which the calves did not drink, for their own purpose.
