Flames erupted in a commuter rail train engine yesterday at North Station, sending emergency responders into action to douse the blaze. The Boston Fire Department rushed to the scene at around 1:30 PM after reports of fire on top of the train. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. Boston Fire's official X account later confirmed, "The fire is out, companies starting to make up."

Workers at the scene quickly addressed the blaze, which appeared to have originated in the train's engine. Passengers and staff were evacuated safely, according to officials, averting what could have been a serious disaster.
