My Quiet Life in Suffolk: 6 Years Ago

Yes, it really is 6 years today since  Colin died - how is that possible?

Still missed so much every single day. The coping gets easier, the emptyness doesn't.

  24. The very kindest of regards to you Sue.
What you've achieved in the last six years is admirable.
So many of us enjoy reading your blog and in particular your writings about living well on the income that we as pensioners have been allocated! x

  25. He is remembered by all of us here on your blog. He fought so hard. I follow the UK news and think of him often when I read of the NHS. You, Sue, were a rock, even driving on the busy roads to Cambridge. I admire how you have moved forward and, of course, still keep him in your heart.

  29. Yes, Sue. Colin really does look like a nice man. It’s been almost 18 months for me and you summarized it so very succinctly- he’s missed and the world is a lonelier place. I do enjoy your blog and thank you for sharing. I’m still trying to forge a new routine but I doubt it will ever be a new life. Each day at a time. You are in my heart. Be well.

  34. Sorry that I missed this on Saturday. Where has the six years gone? It seems like so much less time, but for you the ache in your heart must still be as strong. He was a good man, and a good looking one too. Thank goodness for the wonderful family that you created, and the memories that you made together. xx
