National Essay Prize 2024
The BJCA Starter Committee is pleased to announce its national essay competition for 2024.
Submissions are welcome from all pre-registrar level doctors (without a cardiology NTN) with an interest in a career in cardiology. This year’s title is:
Turning the -tide: how will novel diabetes drugs change the future management of cardiovascular disease?
In addition to the award of a national prize, the winning submission will be published in the British Journal of Cardiology.
- Entries are limited to 1200 words (limit does not include in-text numerical citations, references or figures)
- Up to 15 references and a maximum of two figures/tables.
- Collaborative submissions are not permitted.
Please submit your essay to bjca@bcs.com by 5pm on Tuesday 23 rd July 2024 (PDF or word format).
Entries will be judged anonymously and the winner decided by our expert judge. Please include your full name and place of work on your submission email for notification purposes. Please contact bjca@bcs.com if you have any questions – best of luck!
