Pamela Peters

Pamela Jo Peters, 73, of Fort Dodge, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at her residence.

A service honoring Pam’s life will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kendall Meyer officiating. Visitation is from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, where friends are encouraged to wear their favorite Iowa Hawkeye clothing in honor of Pam’s love for the Hawkeyes. Memorials may be directed to the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home or Almost Home Humane Society of North Central Iowa.

Pam is survived by her husband Donald Peters, Fort Dodge; her daughters, Amy Peters (Jeff Keiser), Kansas City, Mo.; and their children, Austin and Edwin; Angie (Tim) Lee, Grimes, and their children, Jake and Gabriel Lee, and Josh and Mitchell Smith; Adrianne (Chris Baker) Peters, Fort Dodge; and their children, Christopher, Jamison, Emmersyn and Westen; and Molly Elsberry, Gowrie, and her children, Piper and Liam; her siblings, Michael (Sherry) Lynch, Fort Dodge; and Patrick (Debbie) Lynch, Buffalo, Wyo.; and her beloved dogs, Pappy and Fritz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Keeka, her son-in-law Adam Elsberry, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florence and Wilbert Peters.

Pamela Jo Lynch, the daughter of Richard and Keeka (Greehey) Lynch, was born September 6, 1950, in Fort Dodge. She attended Fort Dodge schools, Iowa Central Community College and received her RN degree from the University of Iowa School of Nursing. On October 10, 1970, Pam was united in marriage to Donald Peters at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge. Pam was employed as a registered nurse at UnityPoint Trinity Regional Medical Center, as a floor nurse and as an IV therapist. Her greatest passion for nursing came in her service as a home care and hospice nurse.

Pam treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed many crafts including scrapbooking, quilting, ceramics, making jewelry and painting (including watching Bob Ross with her family each Saturday). Her love for bees will always be remembered by her loving family.
