How to stop cravings? Or lose weight?

Self-Improvement

I post this a while ago sa isa pang community but I really want more advices huhu.

I used to be a big child in elementary school. And because I had a flexible schedule and spent a lot of time outside, I was able to shed my teenage baby fat.

I'm currently twenty years old (20F). I'm a third-year university student. I put on a lot of weight because 55-90 kg. I stand five feet six inches tall. Furthermore, my BMI is obese. I basically have a sweet tooth, therefore I really really adore sweets. I'm not sure if the weight gain is due to stress eating. or the inconvenience of having to move around as I just work on papers and other stuff in front of my computer.

I'm also unable to pay for a checkup at the hospital. I truly would like to. As it's been so difficult for me to lose weight, I wanted to be sure that I don't have PCOS (I do have a regular cycle). I did in fact experiment with various forms of exercise. I lose a lot of weight, but when I don't exercise much, l gain it back. Any advice?

Hi OP, learning about nutrition goes a long way. It's one of those things I wish I started sooner 🤗 I already went through the expensive gym memberships, boxing classes, etc. and it did help but having a nutritionist and a healthy relationship with food made me lose weight the most! I'm not a professional but let me share some things I've learned:

(Disclaimer: For most people baka common sense na 'to but honestly I had to learn this from someone else haha)

Try to avoid overly processed food or fast food. I think mas mahirap siya since you're a student but it's possible. Mag dagdag ka ng veggies and fruit into your daily diet. Rice is still OK, carbs are still good for you pero in moderation. Maraming masarap na healthy food recipes online that work within a budget too 🍴

If you can't avoid eating out, order the most well-balanced meal from the menu. Jo Sebastian is a dietitian I follow on TikTok whose content has helped me with this!

But also don't deprive yourself of food. For example, skipping breakfast or snacks. When we don't eat enough food, the body decreases its metabolism and stores more fat 👍🏻

Going on a daily walk. Kahit mag umpisa ka sa 10 minutes. Gradually take 10 minutes to 1 hour at your own pace.

Sorry for the long reply but I hope this helps! 🌟
