Malaysia Airlines confirms death of crew member in Tokyo


PETALING JAYA: Malaysian Airline has confirmed that one of its crew members has died during a stopover in Tokyo.

"Malaysia Airlines confirms the passing of a member of its cabin crew, Norzana Hanim Hamzah earlier today. Norzana was on duty to Tokyo, Narita, and was scheduled to operate the return flight to Kuala Lumpur on May 20, 2024.

"The airline has been in touch with Norzana’s family and will be supporting them during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Norzana," it said in a statement on Monday (May 20).

The cause of her death was not mentioned.
