It could happen
Beat me to it lol
That kid’s dad was a dick.
“Dad… when can we be a family again?”
“When the Angels win the pennant”.
How messed up was it that I thought that was completely normal as a kid?
“Understandable, have a nice day”
It is impossible not to look back fondly on some of the film's most iconic scenes, such as the first appearance of the angel, Roger's home run to win the game, or the emotional ending where he finds a new home.
One of the only movies to make me cry when his dad walks out on him in court
Young Joseph Gordon Levitt Mathew Mcconaughey Adrian Brody Niel McDougnah with Stars like Danny Glover Tony Danza and Christopher Loyd. Rewatched it recently. Still funny
It’s Jose’ can you see.
Wait, so the first word is Jose? It's about a Spanish guy!
Jose can you seeee?
"It's too easy."
“Here comes nachobutt”
Unironically my favorite baseball movie. It's stupid at times but just let the vibes take over.
It’s a mix between this and Rookie of the year for me.
Greatest sports movie ever made. Danny Glover 11/10
“hey David where are the nachos? I’m saving them for later..”
It’s impossible to find this movie in streaming
It's not on Disney+? I don't have it but given that it's a Disney film, you'd assume they'd have it available
its not! The 1940's version is, but not this one.
Lame, Disney!
It’s currently on TBS’s online “platform”, which I was able to watch via YouTubeTV. But yes, aside from that you’re shit out of luck.
Hoping someone gets it added to Disney+ or Prime/Apple for “purchase” soon.
Weird I’m sure it was on something like Max or Netflix a couple years ago which is the first time I saw it since I was a kid. I wonder what is legally going on with the movie.
Imagine being a major league pitcher only to get roasted by a 7 year old orphan. “You USE to be Mel Clark?”
Best dad in a kids movie.
This movie hit me in the feels as a kid for sure, still have the VHS I think
Loved this movie
Don’t remember much from it though
This was the first time I saw Joseph Gordon-Levitt. It was the second thing I saw Danny Glover in since I saw in him Predator 2 as a second grader. Lol
”How in the world did old noodle-arm pull that off?”
Me, watching Jamie Moyer pitch a CGSO
You use to be Mel Clark
How do you drink coffee
I fondly remember seeing this in the theater with my grandmother. It was a sweet movie.
Tried to watch this with my kids the other night. Couldn’t find it streaming. Settled on rookie of the year instead.
I did the same thing! It was nowhere to be found. I was really surprised.
Henry Rowengartner to the rescue!
The original movie was released in 1951
