Despite experiencing several injury issues at times throughout the season, Celtic central defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has more than played his part in the Hoops’ title success.

A rock at the back, the sturdy American personifies defensive solidity but he can adeptly play the ball, too, as was shown in the Glasgow derby when he pinged an accurate cross-field pass for Daizen Maeda in the lead-up to the Celts’ second.

Carter-Vickers is a senior leader in the team and regularly wears the armband in the absence of Callum McGregor or Joe Hart.

He appears a calming presence at the back who leads by example and isn’t one to excessively shout or dish out orders. This made a video of him screaming at the Celtic players’ title party all the more surprising.

On Wednesday evening after winning the league at Rugby Park, the Bhoys went out. Adam Idah and Stephen Welsh stole the mic, but footage last night emerged of Carter-Vickers recreating Aiden McGeady’s iconic line – ‘Unlucky Rangers, three in a row!’.

Joe Hart also got involved:

A rare moment of being able to let their hair down, it has been a long and arduous season for Celtic.

They have undergone countless trials and tribulations but in the end, have got their just reward.
