Film, theatre and TV stars attended the first night of People, Places and Things in London.

Back in the West End for a limited run at the Trafalgar Theatre, Denise Gough reprises her Olivier Award-winning performance as an actress struggling with addiction and life. Read a round-up of People, Places and Things reviews here.

Stars in attendance last night at the premiere included Reece Shearsmith (Inside No. 9), Jeremy Irons, Indira Varma (Macbeth, Mission Impossible), Emma Corrin (The Crown), Samantha Spiro (Sex Education), Omari Douglas (It’s A Sin, Cabaret), Callum Scott Howells (It’s A Sin, Cabaret), Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters, Cabaret), Corinna Brown (Hearstopper), Daisy Edgar Jones (Normal People), Jessica Brown Findlay (An Enemy of the People, Downton Abbey), Tanya Reynolds (Sex Education, A Mirror), Jasmine Lee Jones (The Long Shadow), Helen George (Call The Midwife, The King and I), Evanna Lynch (Harry Potter film franchise), RakheeThakrar (EastEnders, Sex Education), Sabina Emrit, DJ and television presenter Sian Eleri and Victoria Yates. A post-show after party was held at Sophie’s Soho.

Directed by Jeremy Herrin (Long Day’s Journey Into Night), Duncan Macmillan’s award winning play also features Sinéad Cusack (V for Vendetta, Rock ‘n’ Roll), Malachi Kirby (Small Axe: Mangrove, Anansi Boys), Danny Kirrane (The Sandman, The Serpent Queen) and Kevin McMonagle (Scoop, Best of Enemies).

Further casting includes Holly Atkins (This Country, Sons of the Prophet), Paksie Vernon (Shetland, Angels in America: Part One), Ryan Hutton (Only Fools and Horses), Ayọ̀ Owóyẹmi-Peters, and Dillon Scott-Lewis (Piglets, & Juliet). Completing the company are Russell Anthony (Call the Midwife, Trouble in Butetown) and Louise Templeton (Jayson Bend: Queen and Country).
