19 crime scene investigators graduate from KCA, including local law enforcement

FRANKFORT, Ky. – On Friday, Gov. Andy Beshear, along with the Department of Criminal Justice Training, announced 19 crime scene investigators have graduated from the 2024 KY Criminalistics Academy Crime Scene Technician Course, and some of them are based right here in south-central Kentucky.

KCA consists of two five-week 200-hour courses.

Certification includes training in evidence collection and documentation, fingerprint identification, forensic mapping and so much more.

Congratulations to Matthew Poore with the Bowling Green Police Department, Jason Warinner with Kentucky State Police Post 3 and Travis N. Frank with the Franklin Police Department for receiving this certification.
