Vastly underrated artist
Real heads know
Wasn't he a raging asshole?
He was lots of things.
No. He had his moments. Alcohol makes you do terrible things.
But it doesn't attract from what a great artist he was.
Moral of the story is not to sleep with random Russian waitresses.
How was he to know?
What's the fun in that?
That SSG in Korea should have listened.
“Send lawyers, guns, and money / The shit has hit the fan” has got to be one of my all time favorite lyrics
My dads ringtone for me
Back in 1989 I was a DJ in a nightclub, and on Fridays we had "Classic Rock Happy Hour." It was mostly businessmen coming in for a drink after trying to become the next Gordon Gekko, and this song (along with Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner) was one of the "deep cuts" I used to play.
One afternoon, a couple of 40-something guys came up to the booth. They looked around, and asked to talk to the DJ. 24 year old me said "that's me...can I help you?" They were like "no way! How do you know all this music?"
Because I started listening to album rock radio in the mid 70s when I was a young lad.
This and "My Shit's Fucked Up" are my favorite Warren Zevon tunes
Miss this dude a lot.

Enjoy every sandwich, no?
My 2nd favorite song ever.
No.1 Sweet Jane

Hell yes again.
