Sean Dyche shares Jack Harrison injury update after what he did to Everton teammates

Jack Harrison was spotted embracing his teammates ahead of Everton v Sheffield United after Sean Dyche revealed he is unlikely to play again this season.

Joe Thomas took to X on Saturday 11 May, publishing an image of the Leeds United loanee hugging each teammate as they emerged from the tunnel, having been ruled out for the rest of the season.

The winger’s loan deal at Goodison Park is set to expire when the campaign ends, having become an integral part of Sean Dyche’s squad and making 29 Premier League appearances.

Dyche revealed the player’s injury ahead of the clash on Saturday (11 May), saying: “Jack is injured and it looks unlikely we’ll get him back before the end of the season. It’s unfortunate as he’s played a lot of football and done very well.”

Has Jack Harrison played his final game for Everton?

With the player greeting each teammate at the tunnel, it looks ever more likely that Harrison will be returning to Elland Road this summer, though many will be keen for the Toffees to strike a deal this summer.

The 27-year-old has been a very important player for Dyche, notching three goals and three assists in the Premier League as Everton avoided Premier League relegation despite two separate points deductions for Profit and Sustainability breaches.

While some may expect more than six goal contributions in 29 league appearances, Harrison’s impact has been so much more than just goals, with his energy, pace, and tenacity pushing his side up the pitch.

The winger was snapped up by Everton when the club exercised a clause in his contract allowing him to depart Elland Road on loan when Leeds were relegated last season but no purchase option was included in his contract.

Though the player’s injury could be a very disappointing end to his Everton career, it is also important to remember that he has played a massive role in the club already earning Premier League safety.

Will we see Harrison back at Goodison Park next season? Only time will tell.
