NFL Fans Torn Over Controversial Quarterback Question

The talent at the quarterback position in the NFL is as high as it has ever been.

The sport is more quarterback-friendly now than ever, which also helps, but the next generation of gunslingers are more mobile, savvy, and gifted than the guys who came before them. A recent social media post by PFF pitted some of the best quarterbacks in the league against some of the incoming or rising stars, with a question about who will win their first title.

It's certainly an intriguing question as guys like Joe Burrow and Jalen Hurts have each been in the big game, while others like Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen have come within a game of making it. CJ Stroud burst onto the scene as a rookie and is already viewed as an elite talent, while Jordan Love waited his turn and hit the ground running. Caleb Williams has yet to play a game in the league, but is widely regarded as one of the best prospects ever.

While it does seem like a fair question, many fans are not thrilled with some of the players on the list.

There were also cases made for guys like San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and more.

Realistically, any quarterback that doesn't have to run into Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs to even get to the Super Bowl seems like a good bet. Mahomes has a 15-3 record in the playoff with all three losses coming in the AFC Championship or Super Bowl.

It's certainly a great spot for the league to be in with all of these quarterbacks, but for some of them they may end up victims of being at the wrong place at the wrong time in terms of getting a ring.
