Since its 1983 debut, the TANKER bag has been a signature piece in PORTER’s arsenal. With the brand celebrating TANKER’s 40th anniversary last year, it was fitting to refresh the core piece, which sees a plant-based nylon construction. Following its 2023 reveal, the updated bag is now hitting the shelves.

Rooted in the concept “ALL NEW TANKER – Nothing changes, everything changes,” the bag is crafted from Ecodia®︎N510, which is a 100% plant-based nylon from synthetic fiber manufacturer, Toray. Specifically, the fabric is crated using corn and castor and can reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Inside the refreshed collection, you’ll find the helmet bag, a duffel bag and a new shoulder bag. The series’ utilitarian cadence is enhanced by shades of green and orange alongside updated small details like new zippers and removable pockets.

PORTER’s new TANKER series will be available starting Wednesday, May 15th at ISETAN THE SPACE inside the Isetan Shinjuku department store in Tokyo, DOVER STREET MARKET GINZA, PORTER’s flagship store, PORTER EXCHANGE and Yoshida Bag’s official online store.
