Goodbye for now
That’s it from our live coverage of Manchester United against Newcastle United in the Premier League.
United beat Newcastle 3-2 at Old Trafford to move level with their opponents, who slipped to seventh in the table.
Chelsea won 2-1 at Brighton to move up to sixth and could still catch Tottenham Hotspur in fifth.
It’s all to come on the final day, but the main focus will be on the top spot as Manchester City and Arsenal take the title race to the wire.
We’ll be there with all the coverage. First up from Al Jazeera Sport, however, is the heavyweight bout between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
We hope you can join us for that on Saturday and the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday.
For now, though – from me, Kevin Hand – it’s goodbye.

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe says he’d scrap VAR
“I’d possibly keep it for offsides, but I’d like there to be more power for the referees,” he told Sky Sports.
“It’s one of those [Gordon’s penalty claim] where you have to slow it down to see it two or three times to see what happened.
“You would hope VAR would pick it up.”

Erik ten Hag believes the future is bright for Manchester United.
“I don’t think this is the right moment to talk about [my future]. After the next game, a great game is coming in the FA Cup final, and we have to go there to win,” he told Sky Sports.
“I have to see the positives. I see this team is developing. I know the reasons we are not performing. No team can when they are missing their whole backline, the holding midfielder and the striker. Down that line, you see players performing and progressing like the youngsters.
“There are players who have the class, together with the experienced players that have class, like Fernandes. There are many positives, but I can’t mention this because, at the end of the day, we have to win trophies. In the Premier League and the Champions League, we underperformed.
“We had, in the last months, many games where we put ourselves in winning positions but couldn’t see it over the line.
“We struggled with injuries in the back line. But tonight, we were able to bring Martinez off the bench.
“This club is in a transition. In this disappointment, we brought through some very promising young players. It’s important that three of those were on the scoresheet.”

Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon reacts to penalty claim
Gordon was clipped from behind by Amrabat in the box, but VAR didn’t overrule the referee.
“I’ve watched it back and it was a clear penalty,” he told Sky Sports.
“I don’t mind the referee not giving it on the pitch, because it happens fast, but I don’t understand the point of VAR – it’s supposed to be there to correct mistakes.
“It’s a big decision. I’m fond of the idea of VAR, but it makes too many mistakes. It’s a clear and obvious mistake. Either get rid of it or make it better.”
“I thought we played alright, but away from home, we have conceded a lot of sloppy goals.
“We can’t blame anyone but ourselves. We must have created three of four chances to win it.”

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag talks to the crowd
The United manager led the post-match farewell to Old Trafford in United’s final home game of the season and addressed the crowd.
“As you know, it wasn’t an easy season, but one thing remained constant and that was the backing of you for the team,” Ten Hag said.
“The season is not over yet. First, we go to Brighton and then we go to Wembley [to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final].
“I promise you that those players will give everything to win the cup and bring it to Old Trafford.”

‘I will be here until the club doesn’t want me’
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes offered his reaction to the victory.
“The job isn’t finished yet,” he told Sky Sports. “We have one game still in the Premier League, and then we have the biggest game of the season in the FA Cup.
“The table doesn’t lie, and we really appreciate what the crowd is doing for us. They deserve better than this.
“We want to do better, and they deserve that. We are working hard, and everyone is trying their best.
“A captain’s performance doesn’t exist – a team performance exists. I always try my best, as my teammates do, but we play for a big club, and we have to lift our standards in every game.
“It’s not about the young ones or the old ones. It has to be a mix of everyone. Responsibility needs to be taken by all.
“I will be here until the club doesn’t want me. If for some reason they don’t want me, then I will go, but if they want me, I will stay.”
