The Mg. Lawyer Georgina Guardatti, Extension and Liaison Coordinator of the FCJS participates in an academic exchange at the Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iași, in Europe.

Guardatti is the first Latin American professor to visit the prestigious Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza din Iași Romanian Law School. “It is a great pride and a great welcome, this generates great expectations”, He commented on the matter.

The intern shared her feelings during her visit on May 1: “From a distance I am very happy. Today, on the day of our Universidad de Mendoza, my stay in European lands begins. I had the pleasure of meeting with Otilia Matei y Aurelena Minoassi, both coordinators of the Erasmus program and the Law School of the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, who gave me a cordial and warm welcome.”

In addition, the professional, professor of Public International Law at the School of Law and Social Sciences, presented to the Romanian university authorities the book with the history of the Universidad de Mendoza, with a legend dedicated especially by Professor Dr. Mario Descote.

The Universitatea Alexandru Ioan Cuza was founded in 1860, 164 years ago and this is the first time that a professor from Mendoza-Argentina carries out an exchange at this institution. She had only previously visited them a teacher from the School of Letters of Córdoba and a teacher from Montevideo-Uruguay.

Among the activities to be developed, the teacher taught classes on Human Rights and her experience in COIL, In the Education for Peace Chair Peace Education course, on the Human Right to Peace and delved into how integration processes, such as MERCOSUR, could promote peace through the rapprochement of cultures.

Furthermore, the teacher announced that: “Next Friday a new COIL will be held with first and second year Law students: “We are going to prepare a Smart Classroom for 10 IASI students, who can at least listen, participate, interact with our students from Mendoza and with students from Chili".

It should be noted that the financial scholarship is awarded by the aforementioned Romanian university, through the ERASMUS program and the management of our UM Department of International Relations, which maintains a close relationship and exchange with the main universities in the world.
