Am I right to deduce that Remarkable might have halted the release of version 3.11.2.5 ?

Greetings,

Am I right to deduce that Remarkable might have halted the release of version 3.11.2.5 and that most users are still on version 3.10.2063 ?

I'm on 3.11 and it's buggy as hell. They've ruined quick sheets.

Thanks for sharing.

Anyone else having issues with 3.11.2.5 ?

How many here are still on 3.10 voluntarily by disabling automatic update, or simply because your device still hasn't received the new update ?

I experienced several issues with 3.11: screen freeze as reported in one of the older threads that can only be resolved with a soft reset; writing 'lags' as reported by you; documents that get "unexpectedly closed", sometimes with data loss of the last few things I wrote; system sometimes is completely powered off even though it shouldn't; battery drain significantly increased.

I've recently observed what you have as well.

I've stopped using my tablet like I used to, but yesterday when I picked it up to check if there was any new update, I noticed that it powered itself off unexpectedly since when I turned it on, it offered me to reopen a document that was closed unexpectedly. It was 100% charge last time I used it a day before and now the battery was at 28%.

Again thanks for sharing.

I haven’t had any trouble with 3.11.2.5 but I don’t use quick sheets so I may not be the best barometer

Thanks for sharing,

I wonder if you could take the time to test and verify if you actually have the issue described here by users with version 3.11.2.5 installed. Seems that users who write "a lot" using their tablet are the ones really annoyed by what is described and demonstrated in the videos showing the issue.

Thanks.

Last week my tablet froze and was briefly unresponsive. I hard-powered it off and back on and haven’t had any trouble since. I assumed I had done something wrong but in retrospect it could be related to this version.

I tried the drawing thing and in a dozen tries with a handful of different brushes I couldn’t recreate that lag/bug at all but I’ll keep an eye out for it in the future. I generally write a lot with it but this past week I mostly used it to read on

3.11 here. And quite for some time now.

Try this as it still works for 3.11

I’m not sure what I’m on. I will say over the past 12-18 months The Remarkable team has been trying to add too many features and it’s gotten very slow. I’m thinking my next will be another eink tablet. I’d love it if Apple came out with an eink.

If you think reMarkable is slow, you should see how slow Android runs on e-ink devices.

Which is why Apple are unlikely to go anywhere near it for iOS.

Ok thanks that makes sense. When I first bought my reMarkble the UI was great. They are trying to hard to add features.
