This song was was written by Shel Shapiro and Gianni Boncompagni. Shaw recorded the song in 1968 as the theme song for a television show entitled "Controfatica". She released the song that same year as the B-side of a 45-RPM single (the A-side was "Quelli erano giorni") before releasing it on her 1969 album.
